TreSkinRX review part 1

Hello! A few weeks ago Melanie from TreSkinRX sent me a skin care trial set complimentary for testing purposes. Tonight was my first night to use the P.M. treatments.
 On a few of the products it says to leave on and do not rinse. I was surprised that it dried as if nothing was on my skin. I'm very funny about leaving products on my face, sometimes leaving moisturizers seems to bother me because of the greasy feeling but the products in this pack didn't leave any residues behind.


I am using the acne kit to treat my white/black heads on my chin area. I also have a few on my cheek and forehead. I have very sensitive skin and it didn't burn which surprised me because a lot of products out there do burn me and turn my skin red. I also liked that this has no added perfumes.

Head and Shoulders for women review

Hello! I received  Head and Shoulders for Women Shampoo and Conditioner complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. ( want to sign up for influenster to get free goodies to try? sign up here)



I really like the smell of this product that's one thing i do look for first. The bottle says its peach but its a really great scent.
The shampoo cleans my hair well and lathers really well and the conditioner is great!
I really HATE conditioners that are thin and watery which this one is neither.
When i put the conditioner in my hair it was really thick and stayed in my hair which I loved. I am one of those people who have really tangled and unmanageable hair so this conditioner worked miracles for me!
BUT.... If you have oily roots ( like myself) use the conditioner only on the lower half of your head because it did make my roots greasy. 

I have noticed a change in my hair since I've starting using the shampoo and conditioner. I cut about 4 inches off of my hair because my ends were so bad from flat ironing and curling my hair.
Try it for yourself you have nothing to lose but will gain healthy beautiful hair.

Fing'rs Edge Nail Strips Review

Hello I hope all of you had a wonderful and safe Sunday. I want to say thank you to all of my new followers i really enjoy meeting and following new bloggers :)

So today while i was cooking a recipe of my grandmother (goulash) I had a huge dilemma. I totally forgot that on Thanksgiving my can opener broke! I was so mad haha :)   I try not to eat canned or processed food but my recipe called for tomato juice and stewed tomatoes.  Anyways, so i had to run out to our local Family Dollar store and as i was walking to the kitchen aisle for my can opener these beauties caught my eye



So cute right!?!  They were only 3.00 so I was like what a STEAL!

Here are the directions I am tired (okay okay and LAZY, don't judge) so i took a picture instead of typing them. Hey, whatever works right?




They were pretty easy to apply. I am going to say that this brand and the KISS brand i used before they both fit some of my nails weird. I didn't have enough of the sticker to cover the sides of my nails but I'm thinking maybe my nails are just a crazy shape, I'm not sure ill have to google more reviews. Its not noticeable so I'm not complaining.

Don't pay attention to the shiny mess around my cuticles I added a top coat to make the stickers last longer I just haven't washed my hands to take the polish off my skin.



I would  give this 4 stars out of 5 only because when i filed them off  the sticker kind of wanted to peel off where i had filed and because the pinkie sticker was way to big for my finger but then again like i said i probably just have crazy shaped nails :)

Kevin Murphy Heat Protecting Shampoo Review

Hello! This is a shampoo that i received in a Christmas Beauty Swap I did with Maria ( we did another box in October) I will be posting the Christmas box tomorrow. I loved the shampoo so much I couldn't wait to blog about it.

The smell is different than other shampoos, it has a natural clean smell to it. I really like how it made my hair feel so clean, shiny and it doesn't feel weighed down if that makes any sense.

I'm not sure if you can tell but i took some pictures because right away with wet hair i noticed my hair was shiny.

 

Now all i need is the conditioner to go with this shampoo! :) I will try and remember to take a picture tomorrow of  my hair when its dry so i can compare pictures. I'm always searching for the "perfect" shampoo and conditioner.

November Glam Bag

Hello and Happy December! :)
I know this blog is long over due but unfortunately, I have been sick for the past few months. I'm sure you have read in my previous posts that I've been sick. All of these allergies and colds have finally turned into Bronchitis and Ive been miserable but now I'm getting better WOOOHOO :)

This was my first time subscribing and I really love all the products I received. At first i didn't like the eyeshadow but i found a good use for it. Now I like to use it for my eyebrows and as a liner under my eyes.

Hello! Happy last day of November! Where has the year gone? This year has went by so fast!
Since tomorrow marks the fist day of December and we are rushing around trying to figure out what to buy our children,siblings,nieces,nephews etc.. I have found these cutest video sets that are educational.

Hello! :) I haven't been around because my son has been sick these past few weeks and now  I think I'm  starting to catch what he has. I think I have caught every sickness going around in his school (haha) Anyways..

With the holidays around the corner I find myself wanting to make things to decorate with. My favorite thing to make right now are wreaths. My First Beauty Swap

Hello everyone!!
Its been crazy over here the past few weeks so that is why i haven't blogged everyday like i planned.

So, last week i received my first beauty swap box from a friend i made here on blogger, her name is Maria. I had so much fun just emailing and texting her that at one point i forgot we were doing a beauty swap.

What is a beauty swap? It is when you and another blogger (or person) get to know each other and find out your likes and dislikes. You set a budget and shop for items they would like or want to try.

It was so funny when we were chatting we both have the same skin tone,skin problems and like the same colors and items. (well, she knows more about make up then me) So i actually gained more than beauty products with this swap, i also made a really cool friend too :)



Here is my box (we also recycled our beauty items we no longed used or never used but that's a separate blog)

 

This is how everything looked once i unloaded my box.

 

We set a budget of 50.00 but we both went over so i think we spent around 60-70 not including the shipping which was 20.00 for us both.

All three of these are great! I really love the whipes they smell great adn the makeup remover works so good.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

  

 

For most people when they think of October they think of cooler weather,changing leaves and Halloween. October has a deeper meaning for me, it is when everyone shows support for breast cancer survivors and fighters.

I am going to share something personal with you that only a handful of people know about me.

When i was 18 years old i found a lump in my right breast. I remember thinking "Oh its no big deal, ill go see my gyno and have an excused day off of work." WRONG. I remember the doctors face when she came in. She looked like i was over reacting but she examined me anyways. She confirmed my suspicion and said  "Yes, you do have a lump, actually two" and scheduled an ultra sound for the next week.

I was so scared I remember my stomach being in knots and feeling the room spin. How could this be happening to me? 

 A week later I had my ultra sound and my mom had her mammogram done. We went our separate ways. In my ultra sound they confirmed the two lumps and advised me i needed to get a biopsy done as soon as possible. I wanted to cry. I still remember how i felt that day, i can even remember what the room looked like.

So i had the biopsy done two weeks later. It was the worst pain Ive ever felt but the worst part of all of this was waiting for the results to come back. The results came back benign but i have to have yearly check ups until I'm 28.

Im happy to say that last month during my yearly checkup everything came out okay.

As i sit and think of what i went through, all of the crying and stress of wondering what if, i cant even imagine how people fight this horrible disease. How do they stay positive?  I don't have an answer to that question. All i can do is show my love and appreciation for all the fighters,survivors and the ones who didn't make it.





A few items ive bought this month to show my support (except the shirt that i bought last year. I am still looking for a new shirt but havent came across any yet)






Prevention is key. Always check for lumps once a month!

The only complaints I have are  #1 the taste. It was very bitter but that is expected since it is all natural with only 150 mg of stevia leaf extract and #2 would be the price. I'm a bit cheap (ha ha)

SheaMoisture Baby Bar Soap"

I received a bar of SheaMoisture Baby Bar Soap complimentary from Influenster,but don't let the name fool you it works great on adults too!

Besides loving the great scent of this soap i really love the fact that it is sulfate-free and enriched with luxurious natural organic ingredients and is gentle enough for the sensitive skin of babies,children and adults.

 

This soap lathers really well. With other bar soaps you have to keep rubbing and rubbing the soap in your hands just to get a decent lather but with SheaMoisture i only had to rub it once and i had so much soap on my hands.
